Algonquin Careers Academy - Bridging Programs Overview

For those dedicated individuals currently working in the health care support field, Algonquin Careers Academy can provide you the opportunity to upgrade you skills and ‘Bridge ‘ to a Personal Support Worker designation.

If you currently have any of the following certifications, Bridging is a valuable professional development option for you:

Personal Assistant Level II

Home Support Level II

Home Support Level III

Health Care Aid

Your personal bridging requirements will be determined in conjunction with our faculty and will require assessment testing of your prior learning. Your personal learning path will be delivered through participation in our daytime, evening, and/or weekend PSW diploma program classes.

In order to graduate from this program and achieve the PSW designation, you must pass a national uniform examination administered by the National Association of Career Colleges.
