Learning Outcomes

Students will learn how to master an Electrocardiogram. They will learn how to hook the patient up correctly and prepare the ECG for the cardiologist to read in order to diagnose the patient’s condition. They will also learn how to deal with patients in unusual circumstances such as amputees and those who cannot lie down.  

This workshop is delivered on a Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

Pharmacy Technician Mock OSPE

ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THE OSPE PHARMACY TECHNICIAN EXAM? This is an opportunity for you to prepare yourself, based on the OSPE’s syllabus of studies.

The workshop begins with  one hour seminar on How to Prepare for an OSPE:

• Overview of the practical exam structure (i.e. rotating through various stations, timing of stations, code of conduct, etc)
• Discussion on scope of practice stations
• 10 helpful tips for a successful mock OSPE (these have been developed by our program Chair and not influenced by PEBC)

The  Mock OSPE,

• Consists of 4 to 8 stations
• Each station lasts a total of 9 minutes (2 minutes to read case study before entering test room, 7 minutes inside the room)
• The stations are a combination of interactive and non-interactive stations
• A track takes approximately 45 minutes to complete based on 4 stations, or 2 hours based on 8 stations
• Feedback is done on an individual basis - your email contact information will be used to provide you specific feedback within a week of the mock exam

This workshop is scheduled approximately one month before a PEBC exam.
