Algonquin Careers Academy offers a complete diploma program for those who wish to become a member of the travel industry as quickly as your study time allows. Alternatively you may elect to take individual modules of your choice and receive a certificate each time.

Your materials have been prepared by the expert instructors of the Academy. The same experts who will be acting as your private tutor throughout your training. Everything you need to complete your individual lessons is included in the cost. All textbooks, binders, tour pamphlets and training aids that you receive are yours to keep, and no additional purchases of any kind are necessary. All of these materials are designed to help you fully understand the role of a professional travel counsellor.

At the beginning of each module you will be given specific instructions on your studies. These instructions will inform you what chapters in which text book or manual you will be covering and the review questions you will be working on. Additional material may be provided for you to read, and supplementary exercises will be included for you to answer. In order to check on your progress, answer keys are provided for all the review questions and supplementary exercises. In short, your lessons explain everything.

As you learn, you complete tests that are checked by your tutor, and returned with corrections when necessary. These help to reinforce what you have learned from the lessons. If you ever have any questions you simply E-mail or telephone your tutor, who will be pleased to assist you. Full details on our Tutorial Assistance program will be sent to you as soon as you enroll.

On successful completion of your lessons you will have earned the Algonquin Careers Academy Certificate of Completion for individual courses, or the Academy Diploma. Travel Counsellor Techniques, On-line or by Correspondence is endorsed by CITC. Upon successful completion of the diploma program you will receive 12 CITC credits. You will also be eligible to write the CITC Entry Level examinations. We recommend this examination for those who complete our diploma program. Upon successful completion of your Entry Level exam, you will receive 12 additional CITC credits.  These credits are applied once you enroll in the CITC Advanced Level Certification Program to become a Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC)
